  This lamp was a means to explore new technologies, materials, and manufacturing techniques. The lamp was designed to be visually thin by relocating the light source   to the base with use of fiber optic wires. I modelled the shape in RhinoCad then programmed my CNC machine to create a mold for the texture-painted fiberglass body.   Once the skins of the lamp was made from fiberglass, I weaved multiple strands of fiber optic cables to the LED light. The body was finished off with mahogany wood.
